Doolin2Aran Ferries have the largest and most comfortable fleet in Doolin.
There is capacity for over 330 passengers on our fleet per sailing trip to the Aran Islands. We have four ships; two steel hulled ships, and two ships which were custom-built to give maximum opportunities for outside viewing to our passengers on the Cliffs of Moher Cruises.
Boarding the boats is easily managed from the pier via a short gangway and there is ample seating both inside and out.
You will be in very safe hands with our experienced crew!
Our Vessels
MV Happy Hooker
Our largest vessel, the Happy Hooker, is a steel hulled ship with a capacity for
96 passengers and 4 crew. The name is a humorous connection to the famous sailing boats from this area – the Galway Hookers.
MV Rose of Aran
The Rose of Aran is our second steel hulled ship.
It also has a capacity for 96 passengers and 4 crew. These boats are used for our ferries to the Aran Islands.
MV Jack B
The Jack B was custom-built in 2005. It was named for the late Jack and Biddy Garrihy who were parents of the directors of Doolin2Aran Ferries – PJ, Eugene, Joe and Donie Garrihy. The design of this boat maximises the area available to sit or stand outside, so that our passengers can make the most of the spectacular views of the Cliffs of Moher from the sea. This vessel has a capacity of 67 passengers and 3 crew.
MV Doolin Discovery
The newest ship in the fleet is the Doolin Discovery, which was built in 2009.
This boat has a similar design to the Jack B, with a larger capacity of 72 passengers and 3 crew.
